Flowline ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Profile information: Optional information you provide such as your wake time, sleep time, work hours, and personal goals — used to personalize your AI schedule.
Calendar data: Schedule blocks and day plans you create or that are generated by AI. This data is stored on our servers to enable sync and backup.
Usage data: We track the number of AI messages sent per day for rate limiting purposes. We do not store the content of your AI conversations on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Flowline service
- To generate personalized AI schedule suggestions
- To manage your account and subscription
- To enforce usage limits (free tier: 10 messages/day)
- To send service-related communications (account updates, not marketing)
3. AI and Third-Party Processing
Flowline uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate schedule suggestions. When you send a message, it is forwarded to Anthropic's API. Your messages are processed according to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data to Anthropic or any third party for AI training purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (D1 database), which is geographically distributed for performance and reliability. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations — we cannot recover your password if lost.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, which will permanently delete all associated data within 30 days.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data only:
- With service providers necessary to operate the Service (Cloudflare, Anthropic)
- If required by law, court order, or government authority
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Flowline or our users
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction: Update inaccurate personal data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances

8. Cookies and Local Storage
Our website uses localStorage to store your authentication token locally on your device. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
9. Children's Privacy
Flowline is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, please contact us to have the data removed.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
